What they are like:

These beans are born to be sweet! This medium roasted African coffee from the Guji zone of Ethiopia is a distinct coffee with a light, fruity sweetness. 

Where they come from:

Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee and coffees from this region are often noted to have a big body and sometimes extremely "wild" fruity finish. 

Their Upbringing:

Ethiopia GujiGrown in a clay to clay loam reddish brown soil, between a mean annual temperature from 65-77 degrees F, these beans were harvested from the Hambela farm located in the fertile Oromia regional state in Guji. The farm is approximately 494 acres in size and it sits at an altitude of 6,234 and 7,218 feet.

This cup of coffee can be thoroughly enjoyed on its own or paired with a foods containing almonds, peaches, or blueberries. This coffee's striking candy-like flavors can be appreciated any time for a fully satisfying experience!

Yes, they are certified:

This coffee is Organic which means it was produced without the aid of artificial chemical substances, such as certain additives or some pesticides and herbicides.

Currently this is our only Grade 1 coffee. Grade 1 signifies this coffee as Specialty Grade Coffee at the top level. This coffee contains no primary defects, 0-3 full defects, sorted with a maximum of 5% above and 5% below specified screen size or range of screen size, and exhibiting a distinct attribute in one or more of the following areas: taste, acidity, body, or aroma. It must also be free of cup faults and taints. Zero quakers allowed. Moisture content between 9-13%.
